***********DEFECTIVE. There were no previous signs this assembly had ever been removed from its original packaging (seen in pics 22 and 23 prior to opening). Upon opening it was immediately evident that the bezel is significantly bent. In order to have this bezel properly mounted a watchmaker with a 1006 tool will need to manipulate it. Otherwise the tension springs and insert will need to be put to use in another bezel.*********** This seldom seen genuine and original DEFECTIVE NOS early 1980's Bulova Accutron depth gauge diver bezel, insert and tension spring combo came from the estate of an old school watchmaker. There were no previous signs it had ever been removed from its original packaging prior to my carefully removing it (original packaging seen in pics 22 and 23). Upon removal it was immediately noticed that the bezel is significantly bent. A watchmaker with a 1006 tool will be required to manipulate it in order for it to be properly mounted. Otherwise the tension springs and insert will need to be put to use in another bezel. This assembly is only for the Bulova Accutron PVD day-date depth gauge diver with '8459' stamped Monnin case, typically dated 'P0' when seen. Aside from the bezel being bent the wear seen on the insert (which is much less pronounced in person) is likely the result of storage/handling over the past several decades. Using only a ruler the outside diameter of the bezel measures approximately 39 mm, the inner diameter of the insert measures approximately 32.5 mm and the inner diameter of the bezel measures approximately 34 mm. Rarely do vintage parts that have spent a lifetime apart come together seamlessly. Because this bezel/insert combo wasn't born on your watch and given that the bezel is significantly bent a watchmaker with a 1006 tool will be required to manipulate it in order for it to be properly mounted. All pictures were taken in natural light and at various angles, so please study the 24 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this bezel/insert combination.
